Vehicle Accident Cleaning Services
In order to properly remove biohazardous material from all vehicles (ie cars, vans, minivans, SUV’s), it is sometimes necessary to remove seats, disassemble upholstery and cut out carpeting, just as we would if the blood or contaminant was at the scene of a residence or business. Before cleaning, we consult with the owner about what we are going to do and why we suggest doing it. The below pictures represent a car which had leather seating and appeared to clean up rather well on site. However we did recommend removing the seat completely from the car and upon further inspection (unzipping the seat cover), we see blood that cannot be removed, which means, the car would always have had a smell. Even if the blood happened to be vomit, urine or some other body fluid, the car would have always had a smell and the biohazardous material would always be in the car. Blood Cleanup in Car
Blood tends to get into car seat stitching and then soak into seat padding. The expensive frame was saved and the seat reupholstered. Many times the cost of this type of cleanup is covered by your automobile insurance. It really depends on your insurance company and the specific details of the incident. When cleaning up a vehicle (car, bus, van, truck), we do take pictures of the job before, during and after for insurance purposes and your records.
